Unparalleled expertise. Our Surgical Care Center is led by Anthony Sandler, M.D., who is internationally-renowned for his work on childhood solid tumors and intestinal anomalies. Dr. Sandler’s team consists of more than 90 pediatric surgery specialists, as well as fellowship-trained pediatric anesthesiologists.

The Pediatric Esophageal and Thoracic Surgery Program was developed to streamline the care of children with diseases and disorders of the lungs, mediastinum and esophagus by using the latest diagnostic, surgical and medical techniques. Our team of renowned surgeons, including Timothy Kane, M.D., and Mikael Petrosyan, M.D., offer innovative and minimally invasive surgical treatments, as well as traditional surgical procedures.

Ranked one of the top 10 American pediatric orthopaedics programs by U.S. News & World Report, our program is led by Matthew Oetgen, M.D., M.B.A., who created the Spinal Fusion Surgical Home, the first of its kind in the U.S. to focus on pediatric patients undergoing spine surgery. Our orthopaedic surgeons, Benjamin Martin, M.D., and Shannon Kelly, M.D., have vast expertise in using noninvasive surgical techniques, such as scoliosis traction and MAGEC spinal growing rods to improve the quality of life for children with spinal deformities.

Pediatric Gynecology Program

Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery

We are one of the only hospitals in the U.S. that has a dedicated pediatric plastic surgery program. This program, led by Gary Rogers, M.D., can help care for your child’s reconstructive needs. We treat a variety of conditions, including cleft lip and palate, through our specialized Cleft Lip and Palate Program, led by Albert Oh, M.D. In addition, our Craniofacial Program treats children with a range of craniofacial disorders, including deformational plagiocephaly and pediatric craniosynostosis.
